UNITY LUTHERAN CHURCH + CHICAGO
SEVENTH ANNUAL "SPAGHETTI-FEST"

February 11, 2011

"A rousing success . . . . "

Attendance: approximately 70-72 people
Proceeds Donated to Unity: $ 405.03
WEATHER:  VERY mild ... NO snow.   Many new neighbors attended this event.

A BIG thanks to all NINE volunteers who so graciously donated their time the day before to help decorate "Bistro Viehe-Naess"  (took 27 "people" hours to transform the room to a Bistro !)

We were blessed to have quite a few kitchen helpers who worked together with perfect timing to pull off this dinner and get the food on the table while warm !  A talent indeed !   We even had visiting "friends" help serve and wash dishes !  And a special thanks to our wonderful kitchen "Elf" . . . almost a permanent fixture in our kitchen . . .  Ruth Nishimura.  The clean-up crew was so appreciated also.  "Spaghetti-Fest" could not take place without all those volunteers who were so generous in their contributions of food/beverages and time.

Every year this event gets bigger and better !  We are all looking forward to the 8th Annual in 2013 !  And . . . An "OKTOBERFEST" for this Fall may be in the works as new people (who had such a good time) have volunteered to help plan and arrange !
